Turning and I

In April of '06 I began my woodturning adventure.  Before then, my experience with wood was next to nill.  However, I did have considerable experience creating with my hands.  I had been looking for a new (cheaper) creative outlet at the time, soI quickly became consumed with what I hope to be a life-long quest to learn and master this ancient craft.  After over two years (off and on due to health), I feel I have come a very long way.  I am at a level I did not expect to hit for some time, and I owe it to a ton of hard work, exhaustive research, and a supportive family.  I also am very thankful for all of the help and advice I've recieved from my club - the Mountaintop Turners - and online communities such as the AAW forums, and Woodturner's Resource.  I've been very inspired by not only the work of others in the turning community, but by their helping and friendly spirit as well.
